It's Tarpon and Snook Season!

It is that time of year when our warm water fish like Tarpon and Snook are caught the most! Tarpon and Snook love the warmer temperatures which makes summertime the best time to target them. We have also been catching Redfish and Seatrout in the same areas as the Tarpon and Snook. 

Saltwater Fishing in Cocoa Beach

We have been having amazing days this summer catching Tarpon, Snook, Redfish and Seatrout. Our snook population has really increased the last few years which is why we are catching so many of them on our saltwater fishing charters. We are catching them using a variety of techniques like live bait, artificial lures and fly fishing. Menhaden and Pilchards are in large schools all along the east coast, making them the best live bait to use right now. We are casting the live bait around mangroves and deeper channels for the Snook and Tarpon. We have had a fantastic summer catching Snook and Tarpon using the fly rod as well. Fly fishing for Tarpon and Snook is one of our favorite ways to catch them. The strikes are very visual and powerful. We've been catching a good amount of slot sized Redfish and Seatrout as well. Any baitfish lure like a jerkbait or fluke has been very productive for the artifical bite.
