Largemouth Bass
During your Orlando Bass fishing charter, you will be fishing for Florida-Strain Largemouth Bass. Florida Bass are very aggressive. They love to ambush their prey from shallow water cover like docks, lay down trees, grass lines and lily pads. They also feed heavily in deeper water around submerged grass lines, deep drop offs, ledges and deep sandy bottom. The main forage in our lakes is Shad, Glass Minnows, Shiners and Bluegill. There are a thousand different ways to catch Florida-Strain Bass but lake and pond will require a different technique, which makes targeting these fish a lot of fun. These Bass can easily grow over 10 pounds, with the Florida state record officially at 17.27 pounds! We frequently catch Bass in the 2-4 pound range and will usually catch one over 5 pounds quite often on the Butler Chain of Lakes in Orlando. The Butler Chain of Lakes is extremely clear, full of baitfish and has a ton of submerged grass. These are all the ingredients needed to make our Largemouth Bass School daily! They can be seen jumping out of the water while feeding on Shad and Glass Minnows, which makes for an incredible show for our clients.
