Fishing is Keeping Us Busy!
Fishing The Butler Chain and Lake Ivanhoe
We have taken clients to both The Butler Chain of Lakes and Lake Ivanhoe over the last two days. Bass fishing has been great on both lakes. Butler is fishing the same way that it has been for the last week, making it easy for us to pattern the fish. Ivanhoe was 9 days behind on its Bass spawn. There were Bass on beds all over the lake, making it a sight fisherman's dream come true. Chris joined me on Lake Ivanhoe and we had an absolute blast. He got to practice his flipping and pitching skills with a baitcaster for bedding Bass. We would watch the Bass behavior, trying to get them to bite soft plastic worms and flukes. The water on Ivanhoe is crystal clear making it visually stimulating and beautiful! We have also been catching more Crappie and Mudfish on the Butler Chain of Lakes. Mudfish, also known as Bowfin, are native for Florida and can get up to 10 pounds. These fish have sharp teeth and a long body like an eel. Crappie can be a great fight on a ultralight rod! Fishing on all the lakes we guide has been excellent making for fun days and happy clients!
