Wacky Worms and Light Line
We're finishing up our summer months with more finesse fishing techniques. We are still seeing feeding on the surface for on balls of glass minnows. We have had to downsize our line which has made a world of difference on getting more bites throughout the day. Hooking a senko in the middle with a small size 1 wacky rig hook has been getting a ton of bites all over the lakes. Pegging a gambler swimbait with a 1/8th ounce tungsten has also been very effective. We have been Letting the lures drop to about mid water column then fishing them back to the boat with a steady, slow retrieve. As November approaches we expect to see the beginnings of some cold fronts which will cool things down and kick off our fall fishing patterns!
