Awesome month of fishing!

As February draws to a close the fishing is better than ever. My clients continue to catch nice Bass all throughout the day. Mid mornings to late evenings are the most productive, but fishing has been great all day long.

Finding Post Spawn Bass

As our Bass spawn comes to an end, it gives anglers the opportunity to catch aggressive, hungry Bass. The males and females have moved off their beds and out into deep water. The Bass are mostly feeding on baitfish like shiners, shad and glass minnows. Baitfish pattern lures have been extremely productive rigging them Texas rigged or weightless. My go to colors are watermelon green or silver and black. We are fishing in 12-20ft of water over grass beds or lake holes. I expect March to be another amazing month of fishing!
