7 Pound Bass Caught!
Bass Fishing Was Non Stop For 4 Hours! We started our 4 hour Bass fishing Charters fishing deep in a 25 foot hole. The hole had submerged Pepper Grass around it and Lily Pads. I told the guys we needed to make repeated casts along the dropoff until we got our first bite. This would let us know exactly what depth the Bass were in. Our first bite was a double hook up, so we knew we had found the Bass. They were solid 2 and 3 pound Bass. We caught one after another for about 30 minutes. I saw on my Simrad fish finder that some big Bass were swimming directly beneath the boat. I told the guys to drop straight down, then BOOM, Gabe hooks up to the biggest Bass of his life, a 7 pound Bass. This was a pre spawn female feeding before she goes up shallow to spawn, which I expect to start happening within the next week. She put up a heck of a fight jumping all around the boat and doing some really nice, powerful runs. Once we caught her, Gabe did the exact same thing his very next cast. He dropped down directly beneath the boat and BANG, another big fish, a 5 pounder. Both Gabe and his dad broke their records for their personal best Bass while Bass fishing in Orlando with me, great job guys. Our water temperature is between 65-68 degrees, and we are coming up on a new moon by the end of the first week of February. Nice weather with lot's of sunshine is the forecast for the next week, so giant Bass will be on beds and can be caught daily!
