Bass Fishing is Heating Up! 05/03/2019

As April drew to a close and May began, the Bass have begun moving into their summertime patterns. This is very exciting because summertime is one of my favorite times to take clients Bass fishing. Despite the increasing temperatures, the Bass fishing will remain excellent moving into our warmer months.

Topwater and Worm Lures

sWe have continued to catch a lot of Bass using very fun techniques. Throwing topwater walking baits around the deep grass edges and flukes have generated some amazing visual strikes. Wherever the Bass are hitting topwater we have started to throw a artificial worms in the area looking for a bigger fish. Fish will start wanting slower moving baits, but the schooling fish will continue to school through the summer. We've been fishing the 15-25 ft water range utilizing both moving baits and slow moving baits. Mid mornings and late afternoons have been our most productive fishing times.
