Orlando Bass Fishing Charter
Lures and TechniquesWhen the temperature gets cold in Florida the bass will be affected. The Bass fishing on The Butler Chain of Lakes in Orlando is phenomenal during our colder months. The reason for this is because the lakes are much deeper than your average lake in Central Florida. The Bass are schooled up in big numbers looking for slightly warmer water, which makes catching a bunch of them all in one spot highly likely. Once we locate these large schools we use a variety of lures to get bit. Texas rigged senkos, Jerkbaits, Swimbaits, Texas rigged Flukes and Alabama Rigs have produced the most fish for us. We do use live bait as well, but we are catching the majority of our fish using artificial lures.
The other major factor when fishing this time of year is finding the Shad. Our Shad become very active and will form giant bait balls which the Bass are heavily feeding on. Once we locate these bait balls it's game on. It looks like your ocean fishing with birds dive bombing the water and bass busting the surface. We are having major success when this happens on the Butler Chain, and it's happening pretty much every day right now. Myself, Captain Dave and Captain Rick can't wait to get you on some fat and happy Largemouth Bass.
